Balanced weave wire belt mesh

Balanced Weave Belts

Balanced weave wire belts for ovens, glass lehrs, dryers and washer lines.

Balanced Weave Belts.

Wire Belt Systems supplies balanced weave belts to food, glass and industrial plants across Southern Africa. As an authorised distributor of Cambridge Engineered Solutions, we supply Compound Balanced (CB) and Oven Balanced Flat Seat (OBFS) belts, with material certificates and technical support on every order.

A balanced weave belt is made of rows of left-hand and right-hand wire spirals joined by cross rods. The alternating spirals balance each other, so the belt runs straight and tracks properly instead of pulling to one side. The result is a strong, flat conveying surface that lets heat and air pass through.

Balanced Weave Belts We Supply

Cambridge Engineered Solutions belts, supplied by an authorised distributor.

Compound Balanced (CB) Belts

Heavy-duty balanced belts for baking, curing, drying and washing.

  • Made with thicker, stronger wires (manufacturer)
  • CB5 for heavy duty, or the lighter CB3, which can save energy while still baking well
  • Round or flattened wire
  • Steel or stainless steel
  • 2-rod (CB2) and 4-rod (CB4) series, plus custom specifications
  • Mesh sections are flipped during assembly so the belt tracks properly

Oven Balanced Flat Seat (OBFS)

A thin, smooth balanced belt designed for ovens and cooling.

  • Flattened left and right spirals held in place with crimped rods and welded edges
  • Holds its original width without stretching or bowing
  • Tracks well inside the oven
  • Debris is easy to clean off the surface
  • Runs at low tension and works with smaller drive rollers
  • Installs or repairs in under an hour, compared with 4–6 hours for a conventional spiral belt (manufacturer figure)

Specifications from the Cambridge Engineered Solutions CB and OBFS brochures. CB working tension ratings are based on steel and stainless steel belts at temperatures up to 315°C.
